January 8th, 2010
Can you believe it is 2010? I know I can’t. Seems like we were just all upset about the year 2000. Guess that is what happens when you get OLD. I have been busy with more art classes and holiday “stuff”. I tried having some Christmas cards printed online this year and was very happy with them. I only got four different ones to sart with, but will add more as time goes on. The good thing about them is I can sell them for less than making them all individually by myself. The drawback is I have to pick the verse and can’t leave it up to the buyer.
I will be submitting some work to the Kittery Art Association this month for their all member show. The York Art Assocaition is closed for January. I also have a few art classes and work shops lined up to pass the winter days. I look forward to spring already! I wish you all Health, Wealth and Happiness for the New Year. Louise

Welcome to my Blog. This is my very first post.!
I have been very busy lately with various art shows and this year I even participated in the Eliot Festival a couple of weeks ago. Two of my artist friends and I had a space, and set up our art displays for the day, tent and all. It was great fun (but lots of work!)
Coming Up!
There will be a number of activities coming up in the next few months. I will be taking a some art lessons from a watercolor painter who lives in New Hampshire later this month, which I always enjoy. I am also going to a Framer’s shop for a “behind the scenes” look at the process of custom framing from beginning to end. I will be hanging my work at a local salon called “York Shears” located in York, Maine for the months of November and December. There is also the next art show at York Art Association which will be a November Small Painting Show. It will run from November 13th to December 6th.
And then, don’t forget, Christmas is getting closer all the time!
Best wishes to you all. Louise

I am glad to see you sign up for the free calendars. If you have not done so yet, just do it now. Never too late. I really enjoyed my framing class and learned some new, neat tricks of the trade. I also loved the art classes, as always. It is a great way to grow. I painted the Autumn Woods, and will be showing it on my site as well as at the York Art Association next week. Hope to paint some new Christmas cards soon. Best to all. Louise
